Сьогодні, 10 березня 2019 року, на території Свято-Вознесенської церкви у селі Рингач Новоселицького району відбулися Збори релігійної громади, на яких вирішувалося питання переходу релігійної громади від колишньої УПЦ Московського патріархату до Православної Церкви України.
Участь у Зборах взяли 70 членів релігійної громади села. За перехід до ПЦУ проголосували 70 вірян, тобто одноголосно, проти – 0, утрималися – 0. Це перша релігійна громада у Новоселицькому районі, яка покинула Московський патріархат і приєдналася до Православної Церкви України. Не обійшлося без суперечок.
Настоятель храму отець Серафим з вірянами Московського патріархату був категорично проти переходу до ПЦУ – вони намагалися всіляко перешкодити проведенню Зборів, називали учасників Зборів «розкольниками істинної церкви». За словами місцевих мешканців, 70 % вірян, які виступали проти переходу релігійної громади до ПЦУ, були не мешканці села Рингач, а звезені тітушки.
Громада запросила взяти участь у Зборах Благочинного Глибоцького і Новоселицького районів отця Романа Грищука, якого московські попи та віряни МП намагалися вигнати з території храму, шарпали за одяг. Під час відеозйомки Зборів один з московських попів вирвав з моїх рук мобільний телефон, яким я здійснювала відеозйомку і сховав його собі у кишеню. Я за кілька секунд дістала з його кишені свій мобільний телефон – відеозапис в телефоні був припинений.
Поліцейські, які були на території храму і мали б забезпечувати охорону громадського порядку, жодним чином не відреагували на цей факт. Відтак, я написала 2 заяви до Новоселицького райвідділу поліції – про перешкоджання моїй професійній журналістській діяльності та про бездіяльність поліції. Варто зазначити, що від часу отримання Томосу, це вже 15-й населений пункт на Буковині, де релігійна громада перейшла від УПЦ МП до Православної Церкви України.
Нагадаємо, раніше до ПЦУ перейшли громади села Шишківці Кіцманського району, села Карапчів Вижницького району, села Боянчук та Горошівці Заставнівського району, село Ясени Сторожинецького району, села Васловівці та Задубрівка Заставнівського району, село Михайлівка Глибоцького району. 10 лютого 2019 року до ПЦУ приєдналися одразу 4 релігійні громади – с. Михальча Сторожинецького району, село Червона Діброва Глибоцького району, село Товтри Заставнівського району та село П’ядиківці Кіцманського району. 17 лютого 2019 року до ПЦУ перейшла релігійна громада села Кальнівці Кіцманського району Чернівецької області, 7 березня 2019 року – релігійна громада села Бережонка Вижницького району.
