Тоді він погрожував патрульним та очевидцям, зокрема, називав їх “хохлами” та “бандерівцями” й казав, що “кулю в лоб вистрілить”, якщо ті не говоритимуть румунською. Його висловлювання можуть розцінювати як намагання розпалити національну ворожнечу.

Наразі триває розслідування. Санкція статті про розпалювання ворожнечі передбачає покарання у вигляді штрафу від 3500 до 8500 гривень, або позбавлення волі до п’яти років.
Раніше через водіння нетверезим суд оштрафував священника на 17 тисяч гривень, а також на рік позбавив його права керувати авто. На це рішення він подав апеляцію, втім 9 червня програв її. Оскарженню рішення суду не підлягає.
Затриманим священником є Василь Савка. Він настоятель храму Української православної церкви Московського патріархату. Суспільному не вдалося з ним сконтактувати. Водночас його адвокат Ілля Черкез у коментарі Суспільному сказав, що клієнт заборонив коментувати цю справу.
