Православна церква України працює над уніфікацією церковних традицій і повертає ті, що колись були забрані з Києва Росією.
Про це предстоятель ПЦУ, митрополит Київський і всієї України Епіфаній розвів в інтерв’ю Радіо Свобода.
Відповідаючи на запитання про те, що богослужбовий спів, зовнішній вигляд ієрархів тощо базуються на «московській традиції», глава ПЦУ зазначив: «Не все базується. Чому? Якщо говорити про російську традицію, то це певною мірою є українська традиція, яка була забрана свого часу з Києва».
У цьому зв’язку він уточнив: «Якщо говорити про російські традиції, то треба знати ще й історію, що це свого часу були вкрадені українські добрі традиції».
Митрополит зазначив, що зараз у ПЦУ працюють над тим, щоб уніфікувати спів.
«У нас є фахівці, які займаються розробкою богослужбових книг, щоб все уніфікувати. Але на це потрібен час», – сказав він.
За словами предстоятеля ПЦУ, це стосується і богослужбового одягу.
«Якщо ви зараз подивитеся, то більшість духовенства все ж таки поступово самостійно змінює. Ми не примушуємо. Бо силою ніколи не прищепиш любов до чогось. І священнослужителі повинні поступово самостійно прийти до усвідомлення. І я бачу, що цей процес досить інтенсивно зараз розвивається. Потрібен тільки час», – додав він.
Предстоятель ПЦУ висловив переконання, що з часом українська церква «буде більше змінюватися, реформуватися і робити все задля того, щоб бути духовно корисною кожному українцеві».
Як зазначається, у Російській православній церкві, яка тривалий час існувала в розколі зі світовим православ’ям, значна частина богослужбових практик віддалилася від первісних грецьких. Коли в 17-му столітті в РПЦ почали повертати традиції грецького зразка, їх запозичали в Київської митрополії Вселенського патріархату, де старі церковні практики були збережені. Коли РПЦ самочинно перепідпорядкувала собі Київську митрополію, на території Росії і України діяла єдина церковна організація і спільні богослужбові практики; при цьому деякі з таких практик української церкви були фактично втрачені.
