Міжнародний гросмейстер з Буковини Віталій Бернадський взяв участь у турнірі Second Mix Bassano. Змагання проходили з 24 по 28 березня в італійському містечку Бассано-дель-Граппа і участь у них взяли 31 шахіст, серед них – 9 гросмейстерів.

На міжнародному турнірі, який проводився за швейцарською системою, Віталій Бернадський зіграв 9 турів. Чернівецькому шахісту вдалося набрати 6,5 очків з 9 та посісти друге місце за додатковими показниками.
Загалом на турнірі Second Mix Bassano виступали шахісти з України, Аргентини, США, Італії, Данії, Австрії, Німеччини, Алжира, Словенії, Чехії, Іспанії та інших країн.
