«Всесвітній день людей з синдромом Дауна в Чернівцях»
До Всесвітнього дня людей з синдромом Дауна Чернівецький обласний центр громадського здоров’я організував фотовиставку робіт Сергія Ахременка, Василя Салиги та Аліни Гаргалі.
Виставка портретів дітей з синдромом Дауна вперше розміщена у віртуальному просторі.
У наш час суспільство чутливіше реагує на терміни, що визначають відмінності між людьми. Змінюється і мова, якою користуються для опису людей з синдромом Дауна, причому ці зміни продиктовані прагненням визнати право людей з синдромом Дауна на участь в житті суспільства.
Насправді люди з синдромом Дауна не є хворими. Вони не «страждають», не «вражені» цим синдромом і не «є його жертвами». Найчастіше особливих малюків називають «сонячними дітьми».
«Ми хочемо змінити не лише мову, але й формат і технологію відзначення цього дня. За підтримки Андрія Тужикова нам вдалося створити велику галерею портретів дітей. Насправді відмінностей між людьми з синдромом Дауна набагато більше ніж подібностей. Якщо ми маємо намір визнати права людей з синдромом Дауна повністю, ми зобов’язані визнати і їх індивідуальні особливості. І ми спробували показати ці особливості сучасними засобами» , – розповів Володимир Антонюк, в.о. гендиректора Чернівецького обласного Центру Громадського Здоров’я.
Довідково. Всесвітній день синдрому Дауна (WDSD), 21 березня, – це глобальний день інформування про людей з синдромом, який офіційно відзначається Організацією Об’єднаних Націй з 2012 року.
