Чернівецька область належить до регіонів, де померло на третину біль ше людей.

В Україні помирає більше людей, ніж у попередні п’ять років, навіть з врахуванням жертв Covid-19.
Так, у жовтні 2020, за даними Держстату, померло на 9 тисяч більше людей, ніж у цей місяць у 2015-2019 роках. При цьому, у жовтні Covid-19 забрав життя понад трьох тисяч людей.
Окрім коронавірусу, у жовтні в Україні майже у два з половиною рази зросла кількість смертей через хвороби органів дихання, а смертей від пневмонії стало більше у чотири рази.
Якщо загалом по країні рівень смертності зріс приблизно на 20% у жовтні і на 15% у вересні, то в деяких регіонах помирали в рази більше людей.
Так, у Тернопільській та Чернівецьких областях смертність у вересні 2020 року зросла на 30 і більше відсотків у порівнянні з вереснем 2019 року. Тобто у цих областях померло на третину більше людей, ніж зазвичай.
За 10 місяців пандемії у Чернівецькій області від коронавірусу померли 748 людей.
Від коронавірусу насправді могли померти більше людей, ніж показує статистика, допускає лікарка інфекційної лікарні у Чернівцях Ольга Кобевко.
За спостереженнями лікарки, близько 10-20% пацієнтів можуть мати всі симптоми коронавірусу, але не мати підтверджених тестів. Тоді діагноз Covid-19 їм не ставлять, хоча тест може бути помилковим.
Крім того, каже пані Кобевко, раніше довго робили ПЛР-тести: людина могла померти, в її діагнозі писали щось інше, не Covid-19, і це не йшло у статистику. А вже після смерті приходив позитивний тест. Зараз ПЛР-тести роблять швидше, каже пані Кобевко.
