Разом із зимою почався важкий період у житті диких звірів, адже необхідно щоденно докладати значних зусиль у пошуках їжі. Поки немає снігового покриву, тварини мають змогу підживитися сухою травою, молодими деревцями, мохом і насінням.
Як повідомили у Сторожинецькому лісгоспі, для підгодівлі диких тварин у зимовий період заготовлено 5,5 тисячі штук кормових віників з топінамбура, 3 тонни сіна.
Крім того, єгерська служба, за фінансової підтримки волонтерів, заготовила 18 тонн сіна для підгодівлі вольєрних зубрів. Також укладені договори на закупівлю 10 тонн зерна кукурудзи та вівса для підгодівлі диких кабанів.
Лісівники щоденно проводять моніторинг стану популяції диких звірів та у важкий момент готові прийти на допомогу
