Суд задовільнив клопотання слідчих про застосування запобіжного заходу у вигляді тримання під вартою для 22-річного жителя села Купка. Увечері 3-го серпня молодик спричинив автопригоду, у якій один з пасажирів загинув, а інший отримав небезпечні для життя численні травми.
У ході досудового розслідування слідчі з’ясували, що того вечора підозрюваний керував технічно несправним автомобілем «Honda Civic» на іноземній реєстрації. Шини на колесах іномарки були різних моделей, розмірів і з різними малюнками протекторів. Крім цього, швидкість легковика перевищувала допустиму в межах населеного пункту.
Проявивши неуважність та не врахувавши дорожньої обстановки, водій втратив керування і автомобіль виїхав на узбіччя, де зіткнувся з деревом. Внаслідок дорожньо-транспортної пригоди один з пасажирів іномарки помер, інший – отримав тяжкі тілесні ушкодження.
Кермувальнику повідомлено про підозру у скоєнні злочину, передбаченого частиною 2 статті 286 (Порушення правил безпеки дорожнього руху або експлуатації транспорту особами, які керують транспортними засобами) Кримінального кодексу України.
Взявши до уваги, що підозрюваний може переховуватися від правосуддя та незаконно впливати на учасників досудового розслідування, Шевченківський районний суд міста Чернівці призначив підозрюваному 60 днів арешту без можливості внесення застави.
