В Україні 211 411 осіб отримують інсулінову терапію, тобто мають важку форму цукрового діабету. Як відомо, саме це захворювання входить до групи ризику при Covid-19.
Про це під час ранішнього брифінгу повідомив міністр охорони здоров’я Максим Степанов.
За його словами, захворюваність на діабет зростає дуже швидко. Поширеність складає 7,3%, і все частіше хворобу діагностують серед молодого населення.
«Саме цукровий діабет входить до групи ризику при коронавірусі. Багато летальних випадків фіксують саме в людей, які мають цукровий діабет. Тому важливо робити профілактику, вести здоровий спосіб життя, дотримуватися здорового харчування, підтримувати нормальну вагу тіла, бути фізично активним та уникати куріння», – каже Максим Степанов.

14 листопада – Всесвітній день боротьби з діабетом. Цукровий діабет входить у трійку найбільш поширених неінфекційних захворювань після серцево-судинних та онкологічних.
Діабет – хронічне захворювання, при якому підшлункова залоза не виробляє достатньої кількості інсуліну або ж організм не може ефективно використовувати вироблений інсулін. Інсулін – це гормон, який регулює рівень цукру (глюкози) у крові.
