Сьогодні, 25 жовтня, Україна перейшла на зимовий час. О 4:00 за київським часом стрілку годинника перевели на 1 (одну) годину назад.
Як повідомляє пресслужба Міністерства економіки, аналогічний порядок обчислення часу діє на території ЄС на підставі директиви Європарламенту від 19.01.2001 про перехід на літній час.
Зазначається, що практика переведення годинників була введена для того, щоб заощаджувати електроенергію, але з розвитком технологій вся економія звелася до мінімальних 1-3%. У багатьох країнах від такої практики відмовилися. В Україні теж намагалися її скасувати, але осі це не було реалізовано.
