Статки мільярдерів під час пандемії досягли рекордного рівня, а найбільше заробляли керівники технологічних і промислових підприємств. Про це йдеться у звіті швейцарської глобальної фінансової компанії UBS, повідомляє BBC.
Згідно зі звітом, у період з квітня до липня цього року статки найбагатших людей у світі зросли на 27,5%, або на $10,2 трильйона. Це більше, ніж на попередньому піку в $8,9 трильйона, зафіксованому в кінці 2017 року. Основна причина такого стрибку — зростання світових цін на акції.
UBS заявив, що мільярдери «дуже добре» впоралися з кризою COVID-19. Також у компанії зазначили, що число мільярдерів у світі досягло нового максимуму — 2 189 осіб проти 2 158 у 2017 році.
Серед мільярдерів найбільше виграли цього року промисловці — їхні статки зросли на 44%. У технічних мільярдерів пандемія теж «пройшла вигідно» — їхні статки зросли на 41%. Мільярдери у сфері охорони здоровʼя також виграли, оскільки криза привернула увагу виробників ліків і медичного обладнання.
