Організатори пісенного конкурсу «Євробачення» розробили чотири варіанти його проведення, які враховують різні прогнози ситуації з пандемією коронавірусу. Так вони хочуть гарантувати, що в 2021 році конкурс точно відбудеться.
Як повідомляється на сайті «Євробачення», остаточний вибір на користь одного із сценаріїв зроблять на початку 2021 року.
Сценарій А. Нормальне «Євробачення».
Жодних обмежень на кількість учасників, глядачів у залі й позаконкурсних виступів (дев’ять) не буде — залишать усе так, як було в докарантинні часи.
Ймовірність цього сценарію значною мірою залежить від того, чи буде до того часу вакцина від COVID-19 або принаймні надійне тестування на коронавірус.
Сценарій Б. Соціально дистанційоване «Євробачення».
Усі присутні на місці проведення конкурсу мають дотримуватися обов’язкової дистанції в півтора метра. Кількість глядачів, відповідно, обмежать, як і учасників національних делегацій. При цьому кількість позаконкурсних виступів лишиться такою ж, як і зазвичай.
Аби визначити, хто саме зможе приїхати (квитки на «Євробачення-2020» автоматично дійсні і на конкурс 2021 року), проведуть «чесний жереб». Тим, кому не пощастить, повернуть кошти.

Сценарій В. «Євробачення» з обмеженнями на подорожі.
Цей сценарій зберігає більшість обмежень попереднього, але враховує ще один момент: заборону на в’їзд до Нідерландів або виїзд із країни-учасника «Євробачення» через коронавірус.
У такому разі організатори передбачають можливість виконання конкурсних виступів із території своєї країни. Як це буде організовано технічно — не уточнюють, лише зазначають, що такі виступи також транслюватимуться наживо.
Сценарій Г. «Євробачення» на карантині.
Це крайній варіант проведення конкурсу в разі, якщо в Нідерландах введуть карантин. Тоді на місці проведення не буде глядачів, національних делегацій і взагалі ніяких позаефірних заходів довкола «Євробачення».
Усі учасники конкурсу виконуватимуть свої пісні з дому, їх транслюватимуть наживо і зводитимуть у єдиний концерт — приблизно так само, як це буде на «Дитячому Євробаченні» в листопаді цього року, кажуть організатори.
