Сьогодні на Центральній площі Чернівців патріотична громадськість краю вшанувала пам’ять полеглого Героя Валер’яна Моренюка, позивний “Художник”.
Спільну молитву звершили капелани українських церков о. Любомир Мигидин (ПЦУ) та о. Володимир Боровий (УГКЦ). Подзвін за полеглим Героєм здійснили земляки з Кіцманщини – побратими, волонтери, представники місцевої влади. Після цього на Стіну пам’яті біля портрету Героя прикріпили маленький дзвіночок – аби пам’ятали…
На завершення всі разом традиційно заспівали Гімн України.
Про Героя:
Моренюк Валер’ян Ярославович народився 20 червня 1994 року в селі Хлівище Кіцманського району Чернівецької області. Солдат, кулеметник 80-ї ОДШБ. Обставини загибелі: зник безвісти 31 серпня 2014 року у бою біля аеропорту Луганська. Впізнаний за експертизою ДНК у жовтні 2015 року. Похований 1 листопада 2015 року в селі Хлівище Кцманського району Чернівецької області.
Указом Президента України № 311/2015 від 4 червня 2015 року, “за особисту мужність і високий професіоналізм, виявлені у захисті державного суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України, вірність військовій присязі”, нагороджений орденом «За мужність» III ступеня (посмертно). Нагороджений нагрудним знаком «За оборону Луганського аеропорту» (посмертно).
