В Україні станом на початок липня тільки 37% дітей віком до одного року вакциновані від кору, паротиту й краснухи (КПК), повідомила пресслужба Центру громадського здоров’я МОЗ.
Згідно з повідомленням, серед дітей віком шести років цей показник становить 41%.
«Такий відсоток охоплення щепленнями від кору в Україні є недостатнім, щоб до кінця року досягнути 95%. Згідно із рекомендаціями ВООЗ, якщо достатня кількість людей у країні є вакцинованими (понад 95%), розповсюдження вірусу припиниться. І навпаки, якщо у країні діти та дорослі залишаються невакцинованими, це може призвести до розповсюдження вірусу та нових випадків захворювання», – йдеться в повідомленні.
За даними ЦГЗ, цього року на кір в Україні захворіли 245 людей, із них 19 – діти віком до року.
Кір – це гостра інфекційна вірусна хвороба. Єдиним джерелом збудника інфекції є людина, яка захворіла. Сприйнятливість до кору надзвичайно висока. Захворіти можна у будь-якому віці.
Збудник кору передається повітряно-краплинним шляхом: через вдихання з повітрям найдрібніших крапель слизу, що містять віруси. Вони потрапляють в повітря під час чхання, кашлю або розмови хворої на кір людини.
