З 1 вересня «Інтертелеком» обмежить надання послуг у Волинській, Закарпатській, Івано-Франківській, Львівській, Тернопільській, Рівненській, Чернівецькій, Донецькій і Луганській областях. Про це повідомила пресслужба компанії.
«Сьогодні компанія «Інтертелеком» своєчасно виконала всі зобов’язання по проведенню радіочастотного рефармінгу, пов’язаного зі звільненням свого радіочастотного ресурсу для впровадження стандарту зв’язку E-GSM і запуску проєкту LTE-900 іншими операторами мобільного зв’язку», – йдеться в повідомленні.
«Інтертелеком» шукав інвестора для розгортання мереж LTE (стандарт 4G). Але «… тривала ситуація з карантинними обмеженнями… не дозволила досягти домовленості з зацікавленими інвесторами і вчасно оплатити вартість ліцензії на використання технології LTE», – пояснює компанія.
«Інтертелеком» хоче переглянути свою стратегію розвитку. Зокрема, відмовитися від частини радіочастотного спектра і сконцентруватися на регіонах з великою концентрацією абонентської аудиторії.
Заявка на переоформлення радіочастотного ресурсу компанії вже направлена до Національної комісії з держрегулювання у сфері зв’язку та інформатизації (НКРЗІ).
LTE – стандарт бездротової високошвидкісної передачі даних для мобільних телефонів. Він заснований на мережевих технологіях GSM/EDGE UMTS/HSPA. LTE є природним оновленням для операторів з мережею GSM/UMTS і CDMA2000.
5 лютого 2020 року експрем’єр-міністр Олексій Гончарук повідомив, що «Інтертелеком» запустить LTE-900 раніше за «Велику трійку».
