У с. Бабино Кельменецького району 16 квітня 2020 року внаслідок необережного поводження з вогнем невстановленої особи полум’я знищило 12 га сухої трави. Пожежа виникла о 19 год. 57 хв. Про неї сповістили мешканці цього населеного пункту.
Про це повідомляє Управління ДСНС України у Чернівецькій області.
Люди, викликавши рятувальників, намагалися власними силами приборкати вогонь, який рухався у бік села. Проте вітряна погода не давала змоги їм це зробити, пожежа швидко поширювалася на велику площу.
На її ліквідацію було направлено вогнеборців 10 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини смт Кельменці. Рятувальникам вдалося зупинити вогонь й ліквідувати пожежу на площі 12 га.
Інші пожежі на відкритих територіях виникали у с. Петраші Путильського району та м. Чернівці.
