Лісова дорога у 2,2 кілометри у передгірській частині Банилівського лісництва – найновіша у дорожньому фонді Сторожинецького лісгоспу. З моменту здачі її в експлуатацію минуло якихось два роки.
Лісова траса прямує з підніжжя гори Думітриця на Фальківський перевал, майже до самих кордонів Сторожинеччинини. Далі вже відкриваються гірські простори Вижниці і Путили.
Цією дорогою сторожинецькі лісівники успішно завершили виконання десятирічного плану з розбудови дорожньої інфраструктури на території усіх своїх лісництв. За цей час побудовано більше 20 кілометрів нових лісових магістралей.
Загалом на балансі ДП «Сторожинецьке ЛГ» 275 км лісових доріг. Вони виконують не тільки важливу виробничу функцію, але й соціальну. Дорогами лісогосподарського підприємства користуються мешканці сіл і селищ Сторожинецького району, найбільшого на Буковині.
Окрім того нові лісові дороги слугують розбудові туристичних маршрутів в районі і в області в цілому. Широким дорожнім полотном з якісним гравійним покриттям безперешкодно їдуть не тільки лісовози, але й легкові авто, водії яких дякують лісівникам за упорядковані рівні траси без ям, звичних, на жаль, на дорогах загального користування.
Приміром, нова дорога у лісфонді Банилівського лісництва відкриває мандрівникам захоплюючі краєвиди буковинського передгір’я . На фоні фіолетово-синіх гір довкруги щільно вкриті лісом схили – білі взимку, зелені літом, жовто-багряні восени.
