Очільник міністерства закордонних справ Ірану Мохаммад Джавад Заріф заявив, що винний у катастрофі літака МАУ поблизу Тегерана станом на сьогодні перебуває у в’язниці.
Про це повідомляє агенція MEHR.
“Міністр закордонних справ Ірану Мохаммад Джавад Заріф заявив у інтерв’ю, що чоловік, який 8 січня помилково збив український пасажирський літак неподалік Тегерана, нині знаходиться у в’язниці”, – йдеться у повідомленні.
На запитання, чому іранському уряду знадобилися три дні, щоб визнати, що літак був збитий, Заріф відповів: “Це була складна ситуація у складний час. Іншим знадобилося набагато більше часу. Майже 32 роки тому США збили іранський пасажирський літак. На сьогодні ми ще не отримали офіційного вибачення. Американський офіцер, відповідальний за його збиття, навіть отримав медаль. Тим часом іранський військовий, помилка якого призвела до катастрофи українського літака, знаходиться у в’язниці”.
Як повідомлялося, 8 січня після вильоту з тегеранського летовища ім. Імама Хомейні зазнав аварії літак “Міжнародних авіаліній України”. На його борту перебувало 176 осіб, всі вони загинули. Серед них 11 українців – двоє пасажирів та дев’ятеро членів екіпажу. Пасажирами авіалайнера також були громадяни Ірану, Канади, Швеції, Афганістану, ФРН та Великої Британії.
