Поліція Великої Британії визнала, що помилково внесла в антитерористичний посібник український національний герб — тризуб, та запевнила, що видалить його з навчального документа, передає УНН з посиланням на Twitter української дипломатичної місії у Лондоні та пресслужбу контртерористичного управління британської поліції.
“У відповідь на численні звернення українців та за результатами роботи українських дипломатів, британська поліція ухвалила рішення видалити Державний герб України з антитерористичного посібника. Дякуємо всім за небайдужість! Слава Україні!”, — зазначили в українському посольстві.
У свою чергу британські правоохоронці повідомили, що: “Ми маємо тісні робочі стосунки з нашими українськими партнерами та не мали наміру нікого образити. Ми зустрілися з представниками МЗС Британії та посольства України, та вирішили прибрати український тризуб з довідника знаків і символів”.
У Британії також зазначили, що: “На жаль, у крайніх правих груп є історія незаконного присвоєння національних символів як частини своєї ідентичності, і це є причиною того, що деякі національні прапори та символи відображаються в нашому документі”.
