Королівство Нідерланди з 1 січня 2020 року офіційно припиняє використовувати назву “Голландія“.
Про це повідомляє УНН з посиланням на радіостанцію NOS.
З початку цього року влада, а також усі компанії, виші та друковані видання вживатимуть тільки назву “Нідерланди“. Як зазначили в Міністерстві закордонних справ країни, до такого кроку вирішили вдатися, щоб сформувати уніфікований національний бренд.
Зазначається, що такий захід покликаний стимулювати збільшення експорту, а також розвиток у сферах туризму та спорту. Так, назву “Нідерланди” збираються використовувати на Олімпійських іграх в Японії і конкурсі “Євробачення-2020”, який відбудеться у Роттердамі.
