28 грудня, голова обласної державної адміністрації Сергій Осачук зустрівся із дружиною загиблого десантника з Буковини Дмитра Костенюка – Євгенією Ярославівною, – для того, щоб вшанувати пам’ять її чоловіка — Героя та вручити державну нагороду.
Згідно з Указом Президента України №270/2019 від 17 травня 2019 року за значні особисті заслуги у захисті державного суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України, громадянську мужність, самовідданість у відстоюванні конституційних засад демократії, прав і свобод людини, вагомий внесок у культурно-освітній розвиток держави, активну волонтерську діяльність солдат Дмитро Костенюк посмертно нагороджений орденом «За мужність» ІІІ ступеня. Про це повідомляє пресслужба Чернівецької ОДА.
Нагадаємо, що солдат 80-ї окремої десантно-штурмової бригади ЗСУ Костенюк Дмитро Степанович загинув 29 березня 2019 року. На Маріупольському напрямку в районі проведення Операції Об’єднаних сил російсько-терористичні угрупування здійснили обстріл із забороненого озброєння – 120-міліметрових мінометів – опорний пункт 80-ї ОДШБр. У результаті отриманих осколкових поранень загинув військовослужбовець 80-ї ОДШБр Дмитро Костенюк. За життя десантника військові лікарі боролися до останнього. Без батька залишилося двоє неповнолітніх дітей.
