22 листопада 2019 року на базі юридичного факультету Чернівецького національного університету імені Юрія Федьковича презентували перший в Україні підручник для спеціалістів у сфері медіації «Медіація у професійній діяльності юриста». Про це повідомляють на офіційному сайті ЧНУ.
Його підготовлено у рамках реалізації проекту Української академії медіації «Підтримка юридичних вищих навчальних закладів шляхом розроблення навчально-методичного забезпечення викладання дисциплін з медіації задля поліпшення якості юридичної освіти та сприяння ширшому застосуванню альтернативних механізмів вирішення спорів», що реалізується за підтримки американського народу, наданої через Агентство США з міжнародного розвитку (USAID) в рамках Програми «Нове правосуддя».
Презентація викликала жваву дискусію щодо природи медіації, як феномену правової дійсності, її місця в системі галузей знань та науково-методичну дискусію щодо викладання навчальних дисциплін з медіації у закладах вищої освіти.
Крім того, обговорювалися питання щодо змісту та обсягу навчальної дисципліни, компетенцій та навичок здобувачів вищої освіти у результаті вивчення навчальної дисципліни, методів навчання, співвідношення теорії та практики, методики оцінювання, методичного забезпечення тощо.
