Дедалі більшою проблемою цукровий діабет стає у дитячого населення. Кількість діток, у яких вперше виявляють дане захворювання постійно збільшується. Експерт Департаменту охорони здоров’я Чернівецької ОДА за фахом «Дитяча ендокринологія», завідуюча ендокринологічного відділення обласної дитячої клінічної лікарні Тамара Крецул підкреслює, що цукровий діабет визнано неінфекційною епідемією XXI століття.
Вітчизняні фахівці наголошують – за останні 11 років поширеність цукрового діабету в нашій країні стрімко зросла з 1,8% до 2,8 %. Ендокринологи зазначають, що Україна належить до країн із високим рівнем захворюваності на цукровий діабет. Чернівецька область – не виняток. Зокрема, що стосується дитячого населення, то станом на 01.11.2019 року на Буковині під спостереженням знаходяться 204 дитини із цукровим діабетом 1 та 2 типів.
Як інформує Тамара Крецул, за 11 місяців 2019 року вперше цукровий діабет 1 типу діагностовано у 31 дитини, цукровий діабет 2 типу – у 2 дітей. З них 14 дітей віком від одного до шести років (45%) та 13 дітей віком від семи до 14 років (42%) та четверо дітей підліткового віку (13%).
До Всесвітнього дня боротьби з цукровим діабетом в ендокринологічному відділені обласної дитячої клінічної лікарні співробітники відділення і кафедри педіатрії та медичної генетики БДМУ провели святкові заходи для діток, які на той час знаходились на лікуванні.
Медики розповіли маленьким пацієнтам історію відзначення Всесвітнього дня боротьби з діабетом, зосередили увагу на особливостях життя хворих з діабетом, статистичних даних тощо.
На завершення заходу дітки отримали приємні подарунки від студентів-медиків.
