Петиція з проханням скасувати дію рішення міської ради щодо будівництва каплиці на площі Пресвятої Марії на сайті Чернівецької міської ради менш, ніж за добу назбирала необхідну кількість голосів.
«Згідно з рішенням Чернівецької міської ради передбачається надання Чернівецькій єпархії Православної церкви України, яка зареєстрована на вулиці Заньковецької, 22, дозволу на складання проекту відведення земельної ділянки орієнтовною площею 170 кв. м для будівництва та обслуговування культової будівництва та обслуговування культової будівлі – пам’ятної каплиці Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці на площі Пресвятої Марії.
Відповідно до такого рішення та враховуючи розміри в 170 кв. не важко зрозуміти, що дана каплиця (церква) займе ввесь центр площі, де постійно відпочивають туристи, мешканці міста, бігають та катаються дітки, адже в даному районі не так багато зон відпочинку, а при побудові даної споруди навряд така можливість буде», – йдеться в тексті петиції.
Авторка петиції Дутчак Анна Василівна запропонувала відмінити це рішення та накласти заборону на здійснення будь-якої нової забудови на площі.
Також жінка пропонує провести ремонт площі, сходів та модернізувати фонтан.
Станом на сьогодні петицію підписали 254 особи. Незабаром її повинні розглянути на сесії Чернівецької міської ради.
