Сьогодні, 18 жовтня, у Чернівецькій області, як і по всій Україні, відбулась акція проти торгівлі людьми, з нагоди Європейського дня боротьби з торгівлею людьми. Про це повідомила пресслужба Чернівецької ОДА.
Захід об’єднав держслужбовців, представників громадських об’єднань, соціальних служб, служб у справах дітей.
Акція спрямована на підвищення рівня обізнаності громадян щодо сучасної форми рабства, що грубо порушує права людини, реальності та актуальності небезпеки потрапити у справжню експлуатацію, інформування щодо важливості ідентифікації та надання допомоги постраждалим від торгівлі людьми; притягнення до відповідальності злочинців, які зацікавлені в розвитку цього бізнесу.
Україна була серед перших країн у Європі, яка у 1998 році встановила кримінальну відповідальність за торгівлю людьми.
