Олександр переміг американця Чазза Візерспуна технічним нокаутом у 7-му раунді.
Для українця це 17-та перемога (13 нокаутів) у 17-ти боях.
Українець став обов’язковим претендентом на титул чемпіона світу за версією WBO у надважкій вазі.
Нагадаємо, востаннє Усик виходив на ринг 10 листопада 2018 року, достроково перемігши британця Тоні Белью.
Дебют Усика планувався ще на травень 2019 року. Він мав битися проти Карлоса Такама, але бій не відбувся через травму українця.
Новим суперником Сашка став представник Нідерландів Тайрон Спонг, але на тижні він провалив допінг-тест.
