Президент Володимир Зеленський підписав законопроект про імпічмент глави держави. Про це повідомляє сайт Верховної ради.
Підставою для імпічменту може бути скоєння президентом державної зради чи іншого злочину. Процедуру письмово ініціюють щонайменше 226 нардепів. Створюють тимчасову слідчу комісію. Туди мають увійти парламентарії, спеціальний прокурор і слідчі.
Комісія звітує перед ВР. Звинувачення мають підтримати понад 300 голосами. Висновки щодо справи дають Конституційний і Верховний суди.
Не менш як 338 голосами усувають президента з посади. Якщо рішення про його відсторонення не ухвалюють, спікер припиняє процедуру імпічменту і повноваження слідчої комісії. Від імені парламенту в письмовій формі має вибачитися перед главою держави.
