У Чернівецькій області група осіб, з-поміж десяти місцевих мешканців прикордоння, намагалася незаконно порушити кордон з Румунією, аби доправити партію контрабандного курива. Про це повідомляє Західне регіональне управління Держприкордонслужби України.
«Горе-бізнесменів» цієї ночі виявив прикордонний наряд відділу «Красноїльськ». Група молодиків із пакунками за спиною, якраз направлялася в сторону державної межі. Аби не допустити порушення кордону та позбавити пачкарів товару прикордонникам довелося здійснити кілька пострілів зі штатної зброї.
Ані голосові команди, ані попереджувальні постріли у повітря не зупинили зухвальців. З появою прикордонників пачкарі покинули товар та вдалися до втечі, залишивши по собі 14,5 тисяч пачок сигарет. За попередньою оцінкою втрати товару контрабандистами оцінюються в понад 400 тисяч гривень.
