Аби вшанувати пам’ять невинно убієнних євреїв, до Чернівецької області прибув Надзвичайний та Повноважний посол держави Ізраїль в Україні, пан Джоель Ліон. Його супроводжували представники єврейської громади Чернівців, зокрема головний рабин Чернівецької області Менахем Мендель Гліценштейн.
Надзвичайний та Повноважний посол держави Ізраїль в Україні, пан Джоель Ліон наголосив, що потрібно «дивитися в очі» як приємній, так і страшній історії, начати прийдешні покоління для запобігання повторення злочинів минулого.
Також дипломат наголосив на сильних зв’язках між Україною та Ізраєлем, й висловив підтримку нашій державі.
