22 липня у закинутому будинку в селі Замостя знайшли мертвим місцевого жителя. На тілі померлого були тілесні ушкодження, які могли вказувати на насильницьку смерть.
Оглянувши місце події та опитавши можливих очевидців, працівники Вижницького відділення поліції попередньо встановили обставину злочину та особу, причетну до його скоєння.
Поліцейські з’ясували, що напередодні, ввечері 21 липня, потерпілий вживав алкогольні напої вдома у одного із жителів Замостя. Після застілля у нього виникла суперечка з іншим гостем, яка переросла у бійку. 40-річний односелець наніс потерпілому низку ударів, від яких той знепритомнів. Затягнувши непритомного побитого чоловіка до сусіднього покинутого будинку, нападник утік з місця злочину.
Щоб розшукати зловмисника, працівники підрозділу кримінальної поліції Вижницького ВП негайно почали відпрацьовувати ймовірні місця його перебування. Вже невдовзі оперативники розшукали правопорушника у сусідньому селі. Його затримано в порядку статті 208 (Затримання уповноваженою службовою особою) Кримінального процесуального кодексу України.
Затриманому оголошено про підозру у скоєнні злочину, передбаченого частиною 2 статті 121 (Умисне тяжке тілесне ушкодження) Кримінального кодексу України. Наразі вирішується питання про обрання йому запобіжного заходу у вигляді тримання під вартою.
