На пожежі у житловому будинку в селі Бабине Вижницького району під час того, коли намагалася врятувати своє майно, травмувалася 54-річна власниця. Жінка надихалася чадним газом, її госпіталізували у лікарню м. Вашківців. Пожежу ліквідували рятувальники на площі 50 кв.м. Внаслідок пожежі згоріли покриття будинку, меблі та речі, що зберігались в приміщенні на мансардному поверсі.
Минулої доби у Чернівецькій області сталося 14 пожеж. Більшість загорань виникло на відкритій території. Так, рятувальники 8 разів виїжджали на ліквідацію пожеж, спричинених займанням сухої трави. Зокрема, вранці 3 квітня на вул. Хотинській у місті Чернівці через необережне поводження з вогнем невстановленої особи загорілася суха трава та чагарники. Вогонь поширився територією та існувала загроза його перекидання на розташовані неподалік гаражі. Рятувальники 3 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини міста Чернівців ліквідували пожежу, врятувавши своїми діями від знищення вогнем 4 гаражі. Внаслідок пожежі вигоріла суха трава та чагарники на площі 300 кв.м. Про це повідомляє прес-служба управління ДСНС України у Чернівецькій області.
Також суха трава горіла у Вижницькому, Заставнівському, Новоселицькому районах.
У житловому секторі впродовж доби виникло 5 пожеж. 2 квітня на вул. Руській в обласному центрі загорілася квартира на восьмому поверсі дев’ятиповерхівки. У той момент господарів вдома не було, про пожежу рятувальників сповістили сусіди. За попередніми висновками фахівців, у одній із кімнат квартири сталося коротке замкнення електромережі. Внаслідок пожежі у під’їзді будинку утворилося щільне задимлення, що завадило мешканцям 7-го, 8-го і 9-го поверхів вийти із будинку. Рятувальники 2 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини міста Чернівців, котрі прибули на виклик, у спеціальних апаратах захисту органів дихання та зору увійшли у будівлю та евакуювали з під’їзду 12 мешканців. Вогнеборці допомогли людям по сходовій клітині вийти на вулицю. Переконавшись, що люди у безпеці, рятувальники ліквідували пожежу в тих межах, в яких застали її на момент прибуття. Вогонь знищив домашні речі та меблі у квартирі, де виникла пожежа.
Ще 2 буковинців працівники Служби порятунку евакуювали під час пожежі в квартирі на вул. Сагайдачного у місті Чернівці вранці 3 квітня. Цю пожежу помітили перехожі та зателефонували за номером 101. За вказаною адресою направили 2 відділення 1 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини міста Чернівців. Коли рятувальники прибули на місце, вони з’ясували, що загорання виникло у квартирі на другому поверсі двоповерхового будинку. На той час в квартирі перебували 2 людей. Рятувальники евакуювали їх із задимленої квартири та ліквідували пожежу. Вогонь знищив диван та речі домашнього вжитку. Причина пожежі встановлюється.
