Чернівці – у жалобі… Квіти, вінки, траурний марш і плач… – у Чернівцях сьогодні прощалися з десантником Дмитром Костенюком, який помер від отриманих осколкових поранень 29 березня 2019 року в районі селища Широкине в зоні ООС.
За життя 29-річного Дмитра військові лікарі боролися до останнього, однак врятувати воїна не змогли… Прощальна церемонія розпочалася вранці у військовій частині 80-ї окремої десантно-штурмової бригади, де проходив службу Дмитро. Після цього прощання продовжилося на Центральній площі міста, де сотні буковинців прийшли віддати останню шану Герою. Бойові побратими, волонтери, представники місцевої влади, небайдужі люди ставали навколішки перед труною з тілом Дмитра, з очей лилися сльози… Потім була остання дорога до рідної хати… Труну з тілом Героя бойові побратими несли до на руках.
На подвір’ї будинку провели молебень за душу невинно убієнного солдата. Поховали Дмитра Костенюка на Садгірському кладовищі під звуки військового оркестру, салютні залпи та вигуки «Слава Україні!» «Героям Слава!», «Герої не вмирають!».
8 жовтня 2019 року Дмитру мало б виповнитися 30 років… Без батька залишилися двоє маленьких діток – 4-річний Дмитро та 3-річний Богдан.
Вічна слава, пам’ять і шана Герою!!!
