28 березня у смт Глибокій сталася пожежа у прибудові до житлового будинку. За попередніми висновками фахівців, причиною загорання стало коротке замкнення електромережі. Господарі були вдома, тому, помітивши вогонь, зателефонували за номером 101 і викликали рятувальників. На час приїзду вогнеборців з смт Глибокої полум’я поширилося на площу 80 кв.м. Вогонь дуже швидко розповсюджувався, адже у прибудові до будинку існувало велике горюче навантаження: власники зберігали всередині споруди дрова, чималу кількість побутової і господарської техніки, автомобільні шини, речі домашнього вжитку. У той момент, коли сталася пожежа, у прибудові також перебували свійські тварини – кінь та собака. Вони злякалися вогню, забилися у куток і не виходили з приміщення. Працівники 14 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини смт Глибокої вивели тварин у безпечне місце та ліквідували пожежу, врятувавши від знищення прибудову, поруч розташовані житловий будинок і господарську споруду. Внаслідок пожежі згоріло майно, що зберігалось всередині прибудови до житлового будинку. Про це повідомляє прес-служба Управління ДСНС України у Чернівецькій області.
У обласному центрі на вул. Галицький Шлях горів безхозний нежитловий будинок. Причиною пожежі стало необережність під час паління невстановленої особи – місцеві жителі розповідали, що у будівлі часто бачили осіб без постійного місця проживання, котрі облаштували собі там прихисток. Коли виникла пожежа, безхатьки, ймовірніше всього, злякалися і втекли, а очевидці помітивши дим, викликали рятувальників. На місце події прибули вогнеборці 3 державної пожежно-рятувальної частини м. Чернівців, котрі ліквідували пожежу на площі 150 кв.м. Вогонь пошкодив покриття та перекриття будівлі.
Також у Чернівцях горів житловий будинок на вул. Герцена, площа пожежі склала 5 кв.м. Інші пожежі за добу сталися на Кіцманщині та Новоселиччині.
